Elementary school was where I realized that I was very different from other children. I vividly remember other parents being upset at me because “I” was the reason their son or daughter couldn’t bring peanut butter snacks into the classroom. —Calli, Founder, Crowning Purpose, Inc
In 2015, Calli wrote, illustrated and self-published the book "The Anteater That Couldn’t Eat Ants." The book is used as a teaching tool in schools and has been donated many school libraries, allergy clinic waiting rooms, and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Through the “One to One Hundred” campaign, Calli has donated a copy of the book to at least one library in every county of North Carolina! So far, "The Anteater That Couldn’t Eat Ants" is in 12 states and 16 countries. Net proceeds from sales go to FARE for food allergy research and anti-bulling education.
